Development Team. As an intern supporting our Go Red for Women and
Heart Ball events, you will play a key role in driving the success
of these impactful campaigns. Your responsibilities will include a
variety of tasks that contribute to the planning, execution, and
follow-up of these life-saving initiatives. The American Heart
Association’s Internship Program provides college students an
opportunity for hands-on experience in various facets for
individuals interested in gaining work experience with a
non-profit, voluntary health organization. The Association offers

20 hours Internship Duration: 5/19-8/22 Location: Intern must be
based in Fort Worth, TX or the immediate surrounding area.
Availability to be in the office on Tuesdays at a minimum is
preferred. Salary: $23.00 per hour Internship Outcomes: Individuals
participating in the internship program are provided with an

Complete an internship that enriches your academic and professional
resume as well as enriching your personal life by making a
difference in the lives of others. Responsibilities Event Planning
& Support: Assist with the planning, coordinating, and executing
pre-event logistics, and on-site event management for multiple
community events. Event Participant Outreach & Engagement: Conduct
outreach to donors and conduct follow-up calls to past and current
coaches/captains, top fundraising participants, and survivors to
support participation. Sponsor/Donor Support: Assist with donor
presentation preparation and gathering materials for sponsor
follow- up after meetings, helping to maintain relationships with
key stakeholders. Data & Reporting/Administrative Support: Assist
with pulling reports, data entry, and organizing event-related
information to track progress and outcomes. Assist with
administrative tasks such as preparing printed materials,
assembling thank-you cards, and organizing event supplies.
Hands-Only CPR and Public Speaking Events: Support the planning and
execution of Hands-Only CPR demonstrations. Support and lead donor
presentations for ELT meetings, Leader of Impact Nominees, and
more. Research and Donor Insights: Build comprehensive bios and
business summaries for top donor prospects. Auction Support Assist
with auction item pickups, packaging, and preparation for events.
Design Resource Library: Design (in Canva) sponsorship proposals,
impact reports, mission one pager, etc. to be provided to the donor
community. Create social media content for our volunteers to use.
Qualifications Candidates who are seniors or graduate students
pursuing a degree in business, communications, public relations,
nonprofit fundraising, or event management. Experience/interest in
promotion, sales, or fundraising. Demonstrated skills in effective
one-on-one and group communications and comfort with working
professionally with all levels of community leaders, volunteers,
and staff. Effective oral and presentation communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing
multiple priorities involving multiple entities. Intermediate to
excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and basic
knowledge of Canva. Required Equipment: Reliable WiFi Connection
and reliable transportation. Minimum availability of 20 hrs/wk, M-F
between the hours of 8:00am-5:00pm. Must be legally authorized to
work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now
or in the For any roles working remotely, the work must also be
performed inside the United States, not in a foreign country.
