Title: Automation Manager We are seeking an Automation Manager to
take our existing facility to the next level of automation and
robotics excellence. Working in collaboration with our principal
customer, we will be converting manual lines to fully
automate-robotics lines for pick-and-place food product packaging
applications. Pay: $120,000-$140,000 Responsibilities: This role
reports to the Facility-Site Director. It will initially be
partnering with our primary customer’s design and engineering team
to build out-convert existing semi-automated lines to fully
automated robotic capabilities for food-product bulk repackaging.
It is truly a plank-owner opportunity. The Automation Manager will
be responsible for automation and maintenance techs for technical
capabilities, on-site process support, department people and food
safety, team engagement, and enhancing cost-reliability and
continuous improvement opportunities. The ideal candidate has a
strong technical, mechanical, and maintenance background,
preferably with strong automation skills. They should be
team-focused, and demonstrate exceptional analytical,
collaboration, and team management skills. Development & Training
of standard operating procedures Overseeing all aspects of facility
maintenance and automation management. Overseeing continuous
improvement on developed processes Managing multiple complex
projects with competing demands while utilizing problem solving
skills to ensure the successful implementation and roll out of
automation project updates Leading all automation related projects
for the site Deploying strategies/processes/procedures to meet the
potential of automation equipment. Implementing process
improvements of automation technology. Demonstrating coaching and
team member development skills for multiple positions including
automation and maintenance technicians, operators, and associated
team members. Tracking performance and improvement KPIs. Working
cross functionally daily with multiple teams including site ops,
IT, OT, external vendors, engineering, inventory, and maintenance.
Utilizing E80 UI, WMS, PGT/SAP and CMMS for visibility and
maintenance of automation equipment and operations. Supporting site
operations from a systems perspective to include PGT integration
and sustainability. Supporting commissioning, IFT, FAT,
qualification and verification of any new Automation
equipment/systems. Delivering effective change management
processes, oversight, and execution. Working with peer group across
the Network to learn/share best practices Maintaining effective
communication with external project teams and internal operations
teams to minimize impact on operations Resolving high urgency
critical opportunities by diligent and effective problem-solving
activities with the total site team. Creating and updating the
playbook for automation on site through developing SOPs and
training the site team. Demonstrating an independent manager
mentality as the facility SME through effective time and project
management skills. Ensuring spare parts, components, and tools
needed for maintenance are on-hand for technicians, managing all
facets of maintenance and automation teams supplies. Ensuring
maintenance technician records, work orders, and equipment trackers
are completed with accurate and detailed information, supporting
predictive maintenance decisions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree
in engineering, IT, or data science preferred: Equivalent
experience will be considered. Experience with
automation-automation systems: WMS, SAP, CMMS, OEM UI/HMI, Power
Apps Analytical, data-driven assessment skills Strong written and
verbal skills (English required, Spanish a plus.) Proven
