Seeking passionate, experienced PR professional skilled at
increasing brand visibility and impressions, improving reputation
and distinguishing brands in owned and earned media channels. Must
be fanatical about advancing Calibers Purpose, Vision and Mission
by developing, implementing, measuring and continuously optimizing
PR strategies/executions. This role is responsible for establishing
positive business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C)
brand perceptions, helping establish Caliber as the category leader
and employer of choice, maximizing strategic shared equity
partnerships for Caliber and its lines of business, and creating
integrated campaigns across PR owned/earned channels (for
Collision, Auto Care, Auto Glass and Protech).This role also
collaborates with the internal events team to support integrated
event marketing, and partners with internal and external resources
to manage crisis communications.Essential Job Duties &
Behaviors
- Oversee the development of strategic, integrated annual PR
goals and plans that drive improved brand awareness, establish
Caliber as industry leader and employer of choice, and grow
positive familiarity at both a national level and in local
communities for Caliber and all lines of business (B2B and B2C
audiences)
- Lead development, day-to-day management and execution of annual
integrated PR strategy for all Caliber brands, including:
- Manage PR agency resources
- Manage externally facing community partnerships and related
programs
- Act as PR lead with special events team at Caliber and select
vendor partners
- Oversee press release creation, editing, distribution
- Maximize media outreach/coverage
- Manage crisis communications
- Provide comprehensive PR owned/earned media analysis and
data-backed recommendations to optimize
- Establish and manage award submissions annual calendar
- Ensure that PR efforts are fully integrated and maximized as
part of all marketing plans
- Work collaboratively with agency partners, events team and
lines of business brand owners on all integrated PR, external
events owned/earned media and community partnership owned/earned
media
- As part of integrated marketing strategy, analyze and establish
benchmarks for PR performance; recommend optimizations following
each PR owned/earned media activation
- Nurture and expand relationships with relevant industry and
consumer-facing journalists/media partners, solidifying Caliber as
the leading brand and expert in the auto services industry,
resulting in more media outlets contacting Caliber as an expert for
industry/category POV, interviews, quotes, business and teammate
perspective
- Collaborate with and prepare Caliber spokespeople for interview
and/or appearance opportunities, including but not limited to media
inquiries, expert panel participation, special events, topical
talking points, etc.
- Represent Caliber with media partners, alongside senior
leaders, at community and partnership events
- Manage time-sensitive crisis communications in partnership with
cross-functional crisis team and agency resources
- Prepare and present regular analysis/reports highlighting key
performance indicators/metrics and continual optimization
recommendations based on data
- Manage PR budgetSkills/Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in related business, marketing, journalism
or communications field
- 5+ years of relevant experience leading, managing and
optimizing integrated PR/communications and community/partnership
programs in a retail, CPG or agency/consultant setting
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with
individuals at all levels of the Caliber organization, external
partners, and media partners
- Exceptional writing and editing skills nothing gets past you!
Should be proficient in AP writing style.
- Gifted storyteller with the ability to create powerful
messaging that contributes to Calibers business objectives, and
ladders to the company Purpose, Vision and Mission
- Ability to create and maximize earned marketing opportunities

opportunities, and drive results
- Collaborate with diverse groups and teammates across Caliber,
and ability to activate/motivate cross-functional teams to meet
business/program objectives (with and without authority)

- Ability to independently manage large initiatives, as well as
day-to-day activities and projects, maneuvering strategically and
tactically
- Experience directing and managing agency partners in the
development and execution of integrated PR owned/earned marketing
plans, as well as crisis communications
- Experience managing budgets
- Solid analytical, business planning, financial, and
problem-solving skills
- Ability to establish, plan and implement PR campaign timelines
and strategy to meet or exceed established PR goals and
outcomes
- Experience in both B2B and B2C marketing preferred
- Must be highly organized, proactive, detail and
deadline-oriented, with ability to concurrently handle multiple
priorities, while providing a high level of service to internal and
external partners
- Expertise with computer systems and software, including MS
office, as well as newswire, digital marketing, social media and
content creation/CMS platforms
