Job Summary and QualificationsOur Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. The RNs in our 5-station Inpatient Dialysis Unit will initiate and terminate treatment with all available access such as central lines, grafts, fistulas and life site ports. Our team obtains blood sampling on hemodialysis patients for pre and post lab draws and performs procedures with Reverse Osmosis water systems. Unlock the possibilities in your nursing career by joining a team that cares like family.What You Will Do In This Role:You will perform comprehensive nursing assessments regarding the health status of the patient, following standards of care and disease specific protocols.You will plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.You will provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.You will provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient / family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.What Qualifications You Will Need:Registered NurseAssociate Degree; BSN preferredAdvanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateMust have at least one (1) year ICU RN experience in an acute care hospitalAcute Dialysis experience preferred This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).Medical City Plano opened in 1975 and provides Plano and Collin County with advanced health care.
