Job Summary and Qualifications * This is a Full Time Day shift position, 4 days/week, 10 hour days. Call is required for this position * The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech assists credentialed providers with all diagnostic and interventional invasive cardiology procedures. This may include arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, implantable cardiac defibrillators, diagnostic and interventional, peripheral and coronary, interventional and thrombolytic therapy. What You Will Do In This Role: Identify steps in established procedures to provide technical assistance for selected diagnostic and interventional invasive cardiology procedures, which include supply, equipment operation, monitoring, imaging and use of medical devices Use hemodynamic and ECG monitoring, including interpretation of data. Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional CV procedures including preparation of supplies and instruments, preparation and maintenance of the sterile field, preparation and manipulation of cardiac catheters, guide-wires and devices Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy. Assist to coordinate procedure schedule as assigned Assist with inventory control as directed by the supervisor / manager Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization Other duties as assigned What Qualifications You Will Need: Allied Health Degree or 3 years of Cath Lab or EP experience Certified as an RCES (Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist), RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist), or ARRT (Registered Radiographer) or 3 years Cath Lab or EP experience Current BLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS issued within 1 year of hire date or transfer into position. ACLS issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross Medical City Heart & Spine Hospitals are hospitals for specialized advanced cardiovascular and spine care. The facility has a dedicated cardiac emergency room. Medical City Spine Hospital has 25 beds. It provides spine care for common spine disorders. Spine care is also provided for rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities. Those include adult and pediatric scoliosis and spondylolistheses. We offer complex spine surgery and minimally invasive surgical options.
