Registered Nurse (RN) | Intensive Care Unit (ICU) / Critical Care Location: Dallas, TX Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,622 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in ICU License: Current RN license Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Strong ICU experience Experience with titrating drips Experience with patients on ventilators Experience with patients on BiPAP Description: The unit has 10 beds with a night staff configuration including 1 charge nurse and additional nurses based on patient census. There are no technical staff on the night shift. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 2:1. Equipment includes vents, CRRT, A-lines, BiPAP, Flow-tracks, and IV pumps. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Care of the critically ill patient is the primary focus. Responsibilities include total patient care, turning, titrating drips, performing dressing changes, and trach care. Ideal candidates are compassionate and can work well with others. Building a good rapport with physicians is essential. Preferred experience includes CRRT and transplant care (kidney, pancreas, liver). Rotating weekends are required as part of the schedule.
