Job Summary and Qualifications A surgical scrub technician is completely proficient in scrubbing all operating room procedures, and further possesses the capability to prioritize and organize their workload as delegated by their Supervisor. Scrub Tech also must demonstrate proficiency in the provision of quality patient care and efficient assistance to surgeons. The North Hills Hospital staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from newborn through adolescence. The attached criteria based performance evaluation provides a specific set of standards as they relate to age specific competency. What qualifications you will need: High School Graduate / GED; Graduate of a school of surgical technology required One year previous experience preferred Must have working knowledge of surgical assistant duties Must have thorough knowledge of aseptic and sterile technique, and be a role model for others Clinically proficient in surgical tech duties concerning the developmental needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients Certified in CPR from AHA or ARC New Surgical Technologist graduates must obtain CORT within 90 days of employment; CORT is required for all Surgical Technologist with work experience from a healthcare facility Medical City North Hills is a 165 bed hospital located in the heart of northeast Tarrant County.
