Job Description:

Windmills is looking to hire a new sous chef. Our ideal candidate is someone who can communicate and work well our staff and management team. They will be responsible for helping run a well executed line, delegating tasks, and keeping a clean and maintained work environment. We do require this candidate to be very hands on, with the abilty to learn and adapt to cooking a new cuisine. To be successful in this job, you will need thorough experience with hot and cold food preparation. Prior experience in a related position is required, as well as experience managing a kitchen staff. All kitchen staff members will be cross-trained on multiple stations. Qualifications/Requirements for Sous Chef: High school or GED equivalent required, formal culinary training in culinary arts preferred Minimum 2 years cooking experience in a fine dining environment and experience in a culinary leadership role preferred Ability to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen, front of house employees and guests. Food Handlers Certification Ability to stand, and work for long periods of time; working long hours in hot conditions Must be hands on in the kitchen and proficient on every station Knowlageable about health codes and conduct Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 3 - 5 years Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
